Mission Statement

The Flannel Project uniquely supports survivors of suicide in the veteran community with a deeply personal approach. Born from the loss of veteran and mate Shan, we offer immediate assistance through our SOS (survivors of suicide) Card during the crucial first four weeks after a suicide. Our tailored resources, compassionate community, and targeted initiatives address the specific needs of those often left without support, combining immediate relief with a commitment to broader prevention efforts.

Our mission is committed to providing immediate and compassionate support to those affected by a veteran’s suicide. Through resources like the SOS Card, we offer practical assistance and emotional guidance during the critical early stages of grief, ensuring survivors have access to the services they need most. Our aim is to ease the overwhelming burden that families and witnesses face in the aftermath of loss.

We believe that healing begins with community. By fostering meaningful connections and offering specialized services, we create a space where survivors can find comfort, support, and understanding.
